Rape is most bad incident that can ever happen to a girl or woman. It disturbs the the victim both mentally and physically.
Primary effects of rape are just some
physical symptoms and in long run victim might get some
psychological disorder.
Some
primary effects of rape on a girl or women are:
- Vaginal or Anal Bleeding due to forced intercourse.
- Urinary Infections
- Pregnancy (2 to 4% rape case may result in pregnancy)
- Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs): AIDS is the most well known STD. If the man was suffering from AIDS then he might transmit the virus. The transmission rate is even higher if the victim is a teenage girl.
The effects listed above are just some effects on the body and some of them might be cured (if its not AIDS), but there are some long term
psychological effects on the mind of the victim which can’t be healed so easily. Here are some of these effects:
- Suicide: It is well known fact around the world that some girls and women commit suicide after being raped. It occurs because they don’t have courage to face the shame after this inhuman act.
- Self Blame: In this situation the victim blames herself for being a prey. She feels that she should have shown some courage or should have changed the sequence of events that lead her to that situation. This effect might be for a short term and might remain for a long period of time.
- The feeling of shame might result into anger, aggression, lack of motivation and lack of empathy.
- Hypoactive sexual desire disorder: It is a psychological disorder in the victim due to which she feels no desire for sex.
Most of the rape cases around the world remain unreported due to feeling of shame in the victims or due to the fear that the culprits might harm her again. We should ensure safety and security of women in our society and make some good laws to act against the culprits. We should also provide some moral education to young generation so that next generations don’t face this inhuman act.

Brain is one of the most complex structures of our body and scientists are
researching continuously to understand its structure and working pattern. Researchers at University of California, Berkeley (UCB) found some interesting facts about brain’s working on images.
Visual Memory covers a large part of brain. 20% of our brain contains images and it store images in a well mannered manner. These images are stored in an overlapping pattern, which help us in face recognition and other day-to-day work. Their
research is about the storage pattern of these images and how we can extract that information. All this study might be useful in making fast
image processors in future computers.
Image processing is a very fast process of brain that no computer can match.
Our
brain can store thousands of faces and their names and we rarely forget those faces. Sometimes it take time remember the name but it has 99% accuracy. And this is count of faces only. We also remember places, roads, objects and a lot more things. According to a research our brain can store more than 3 times of information stored in Britannica Encyclopaedia. It’s just an average; some people with higher IQ have much more capability.
A healthy body needs a
healthy brain. And researches are going on around the globe to find an answer to complexity of brain and its functions. We should hope that these researches will lead to a more
healthy life.

Shingles. Sometimes it occurs several years after chickenpox. VZV remains latent in nerve cell bodies and travel down to nerve axons and cause a viral infection. This infection occurs at a particular area of body which is connected to one spinal nerve. This infection takes 2 to 4 weeks to heal but pain may remain for months.
Shingles is less painful in children as compared to elders. If it occours around eyes or ears then sufferer might face loss of vision or hearing.
